Betty Lara

Betty worked in the corporate/business world for more than 30 years. During that tenure she managed large accounts, established project guidelines, implemented internal information technology needs, and set up support structures in several major U.S. corporations. Eventually, she opened her own Real Estate Development business and oversaw all the Operational development of the business.

After working in the business and corporate world, she shifted to assist the Senior and Executive pastors of a large church in Miami, Florida where she worked for over eight years. Betty led the Global Leadership Summit for several years, helping to increase the attendance of over 350 community leaders. She also started a ministry of healing within the church for those that needed spiritual. emotional healing and freedom.

Betty as an ordained Pastor, speaker and author has traveled extensively with her husband Dr. Rene Pelleya-Kouri. For over 16 years Love and Fire Ministries has helped hundreds get free from all types of traumas such as abuse, depression, rejection, abandonment, sickness, unforgiveness and many unhealed wounds from childhood. They have done extensive travel to equip and evangelize the body of Christ in places such as Cuba, Ecuador, Switzerland, Tanzania, Puerto Rico, Columbia, Pakistan, Uganda, Brazil, Mexico, and the United States. Their ministry has supported Watoto Orphanage in Tanzania, Africa helping hundreds of children, as well as women that have been trafficked.

As Executive Director, Betty served at Glory House of Miami for over 12 years. The mission of Glory House is to “Reach, Rescue, and Restore” adult survivors of human trafficking. Betty took this new endeavor to lead Glory House, open the first long-term safe home in Miami, Florida where survivors could receive healing and restoration thru offering wrap-around services at no cost. Hundreds of survivors have been helped through this ministry.

Betty Lara is now taking all of her personal experience gleaned through business, ministry, and in her many travels in which she helping survivors as well as discipling women, in order for them to experience “Healing, Restoration, and Freedom.”
