Called by God for His eternal glory
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
1 Peter 5:10 (NIV)
World Changer: Apostle Peter writes to us in his first letter and exhortation to live in this life humbling ourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt us when the time is right. Also that we put all our anxiety on Him, knowing that He cares for us and that we be sober and watch out because the enemy of our souls is like a roaring lion around us looking for someone to devour and whom we must resist firm in faith, because the same sufferings are being fulfilled in all Christians throughout the world.
*But the good news is that God’s grace is available to sustain us because we have been called to dwell with Him in His eternal glory, although for a short time compared to eternity, we live training ourselves in sufferings, because all this will help Him to perfect us and form the character of Christ in us. affirming us, strengthening us, and establishing us for His eternal purpose (1 Peter 5: 1-9).
Let us understand that by eternity, as the Word says, is a place where there will be neither day nor night because God will be everything in us and we will live forever in His admirable light. So let us ask Jesus to reveal to us and put in the depths of our hearts, the desire to live eternity with Him, because there all tears will be wiped away, there will be no more crying or pain because we will be in the presence of God.
This life is zero even though we live eighty years, compared to eternity which is infinite. So today is your day to surrender to Jesus and allow yourself to prepare for an eternity with Him (Romans 10: 8-13, Revelation chapters 21 and 22).
Christ in us our hope of glory and our world-changing victory (Colossians 1:27, 1 Corinthians 15:10, 57). Hallelujah.
